how should I treat MBD?

Hello!
I just got my panther chameleon from another owner, and his overall health is good but he's got issues with his front right leg (MBD). He just drags it along for the most part unless he really needs to use it. He's got a UV light in addition to his basking lamp, and I'm giving him calcium without D3 at every feeding as well as calcium supplements and vitamins twice a week. I'm wondering if I'm taking the right steps to get his leg stronger or if there's anything else I should be doing in addition to this.
I have calcium glubionate but I don't really know how to best administer it to him so any advice on that would be great too. Thanks!

I agree with the above and Ihave never seen MBD just effect one limb. If it is the front legs it usually is in both. He could have gout which is painful. If he is dragging his leg and not using it, he is obviously in pain. Post a pic and we will try and see if we can identify the problem. More than likely you are going to need to see a vet.

Can you post pictures of your cham? MBD doesn't affect just one body part and you would see it in all bones. He may have a broken arm.

Also, fill out the below questionnaire with the pictures. Get as much detail in the photos as well.

Thank you for the reply I'm really worried now but I'm taking him to the vet today.

Yes, I would suggest definitely get to the vet. The front leg looks limp, he isn't even trying to use it and he isn't grasping any of your fingers for stability. Of course a picture isn't as useful since its just a still in time but a vet will be able to go more in depth. Let us know what the vet and good luck to you and your boy.

You using Dr. Stahl? That's the vet I use out near Fairfax for Mojo and quite knowledgeable.
