How is chamy measured?

Hi I have a veiled chamy (Jose Jalapeno)!!

I was told when I bought him on 2-12-11 that he was 2-3 months old?
Does anyone know how they are measured?

Is it from mouth to butt? or mouth to the tip of tail?

I can tell he's grown and he's getting his bars... I'm posting pic of when I got him 1st pic and 2nd pics I took yesterday...

Any input would be appreciated...

SVL or snout to vent length and total length are both tracked when talking about reptiles. Mainly because there can be a huge amount of variability in the length of the tail.
