Hi Just getting my new setup supplies ordered for a veiled chameleon.... Can anyone tell me if I need one with a night and day function ? I know I have to get one with dimming function

I'm a little confused why you need a thermostat. I have a humidity controller, but I use a inferred heat temp gun to keep an eye on daytime heat gradient. No need for heat at night unless you temps go below 55-60 degrease. Your gradient is all over from a basking temp that can run as high as 90 degrease to a lower temp at the bottom in the low 70s. With a temp of mid to lower 60s at night. how is a thermostat going to control that?
