Gravid again?

pinchy

Hey guys, my veiled chameleon, Pinchy layed eggs at the end of October last year, and now seems to have the same behaviors of a gravid female again. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this, having had only a few months in between...

She eats 8-10 crickets every second day and basking temp is in the low 80's with no change in temps in the past 6 months.

if you reduce her bug intake to 4-6 bugs every second day it could help.

I only feed my guys 3 times a week and only 2 to 5 feeders depending on size the type of feeder. You can also offer her fresh veggies and fruits. You really do need to cut back on her food and heat. Check out the blog linked below for more info on keeping a female veiled.

"I maintain the same lighting and temperature range when the females are moved to their adult cages. I do not use a basking light, but continue with a double fluorescent hood keeping temperatures in the low eighties."

"I feed them 8 to 12 crickets every two or three days depending on the season. I use other feeders too, of course, but just give an equivalent amount (not number) instead of the crickets."

Ive read this blog before. This is information quoted from it. I could possibly try your method and see what the outcome is! Im just a bit weary to introduce sudden change or something she isnt used to.

Also, whats the best way to prepare the veggies and fruit you offer?
