Hi guys,
As some of you will remember Gizzy had a fall recently and thankfully is absolutely fine, but she has discovered a new way of persuading me to get her out of her viv. She just throws herself onto the flimsy fiscus leaves knowing i will come running in panic  I had to get some pics tonight when she fell asleep in my hand. i`m not sure who`s dafter me or Gizzy.

Aww! She likes to scare you! It's funny that they just go to sleep wherever they are when the lights turn off! I hope that she wasn't sleeping in the day. She looks rather fat too - is she gravid? She reminds me so much of Lily! Have you weighed her lately?

It was just about her bedtime when she decided my hand was far more comfortable, lol. Thankfully she is like clockwork with her sleep routine. She is quite plump now and i`m fairly certain she is gravid as she has had a little dig recently in the bin i have in her viv. So far no eggs though :( I can what looks to be a couple of little egg shaped lumps near her back legs, i just hope she lays soon.

I haven`t weighed her for a while actually, but will make a point of that tomorrow. Any idea what she should weigh roughly at 14 months old ? She does have a huge appetite although it has slowed a lot in the last couple of weeks.

Aaaw i miss seeing the pics of Lily she was such a sweet little girl. I do love the ones of Amy and smiling Tommy.:D

When I could see the egg shaped lumps behind Lily's back legs she was about a week to 10 days away from laying. She would also eat nothing for around the same amount of time. When the vet weighed Lily (about a month after her last clutch) she weighed 200g. At the time I was told she was far too big, bless her. I used to feed her as much as she wanted ... learnt that one the hard way.:(

Amy gets 2 extra large locusts (she has the smaller ones and Tommy gets the biggest ones) a day with the occasional sikworm or superworm. She also gets a waxworm sometimes too, but now I have silkworms I prefer to give these as treats as they are better for them. Amy is now 9 months old and weighs 135g and I know that she would eat as much as I could offer her every day!

Thanks Tiff, fingers crossed she will be laying soon - it took her a while to get used to the bin of sand being in her viv so i was stunned to she she`d had a little dig in it at last.

Gizzy was eating as she pleased until a month or so ago when i realised that she was eating too much. I now give her 3 crickets per day and some rocket on occassion too - she doesn`t always want them though at the moment. I tried Gizzy with locusts, but although she ate one, she has refused them ever since.

I have been looking for some silkworm, but couldn`t find any. I`ll check that out, thanks. :)

She is still a tad heavy but let's wait until after the eggs are laid then check again. She is a nice looking girl. If you cards for the holiday has not been mailed (mine haven't) her asleep in your hand is adorable to include for reptile friends.

Thanks Laurie, great idea :D I`ve done most of mine, but i think i`ll do the rest with that pic. I`m sure it will raise a few smiles.
