Gasping for air?

Hey everyone!

I'm having some problems with Clover, my Female Veiled Chameleon (around 6 monsths old). She seems to be gasping, or sighing, for air. She does it pretty briefly, but she does quite often.

She first "inflates" and releases alot of air, im just wondering if its Upper Respitory infection or something. I can't upload any pics, cause I'm currently at school right now.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, please reply!

answers

Hey my guy does that too. Hopefully someone on here will provide us with some answers. I keep wondering if my guy is dehydrated but he looks fine and he's been doing it for a while.

Im pretty sure it isn't Dehydration, because it seems like its probably respitory problems. I just want to have some feedback from other Chameleon owners. I hope your chameleon feels better!

air

That's the thing my guy seems 100% healthy. I'm wondering if that is just some type of display they put on? I'm crossing my fingers that someoen will give us more info. Is your cham acting sick?

If its gasping the air it might be the temps. what are your temps? you want to fill out the Help Form. I will link it to you. Also if I would call the vet.

Fill this out and we can find out the problem, my guess is because of the basking temps.
