This is a very sad. This show you how the news can severly affect the way a reptile keeper is portrayed. This is bad for the industry. I can't believe the way that people jump to conclusions and say horrible things about these people before they even really know what happened.

The two mastiffs being shot kills me.:(
 
Why did they have to shoot the dogs? Have they not heard of crates and those catch poles the police use all the time? "We're here to save some animals! Except you two, we're just going to shoot you."

I'd like to see photos and video of the "deplorable conditions" these reptiles were in. Because things look very strange to an outsider who isn't familiar with reptile care.
 
I live in Milwaukee and have been following the story closely. The police weren't there because of the animals they were there executing a search warrant for someone involved in a sexual assault. They didn't know there were any animals in the building. The dogs supposedly came after the cops when they entered the building. The dogs were probably protecting their home. The people saying that the animals were kept in bad conditions are from the Milwaukee Zoo and from another zoo just south of us.
