Flapneck Chameleon

Hi all,
I just purchased a 2-3 year old male Flapneck Chameleon at a reptile expo today! I am looking for some information about them since I am pretty much only familiar with veileds! I had never even heard of them before but I fell in love with the little guy.
The breeder told me that the humidity needs to be higher and the temp lower, but he did not give me specific numbers (which I would like to know so I can keep him happy) and not much else. I was wondering if there was anyone out there that is very familiar with this type of chameleon or if someone knows of a reliable website that speaks specifically about them.

Did you go to the one at Live Oak Civic Center? I got three injured Mali's.lol
I saw the flap necks on the back wall and fell in love with one spotted guy and thought about going back and getting him tomorrow. I liked the little green female too but she bit me.lol It did not hurt. Well good luck finding some info on him because they sure were cute. You should have gotten the gravid female to go with him.


PS they guy did not seem to know to much about them except for there price

Chamaeleo dilepis also known as flap necks are by far the cutiest babies! Here is a website with some info

If you want to find out more about this subspecies just google dilepis . Also i've noticed that a slight increase in heat tends to trigger a hunger response just incase he/she loses appetite.
