Female Genetics

Hello All,

I was wondering since females don't really show vibrant colors like males, When it comes to choosing a female to breed how is it based on? Is it based on the sire of the female? will she pass on the traits of the father to the babies? Does breeding two great looking chameleons produce better offspring then a great sire and a lack luster female? Im just wondering because i rarely see photos of the moms in classified ads.

I don't think there is anyway to tell for sure. Have you ever seen two great looking adults have ugly kids???? I have??!!! lol!!!

Check out as many of the females brothers as you can. It helps build a bigger picture. Also trace back the linage as far as possible!

Thats what i've been starting to realize. For example... It seems like a bunch of people have kammer babies on the forum. I was looking at all the son tiger kids. I think there is exceptional quality in the offspring. If i was to breed my lucifer jr boy with a son tiger daughter. I should expect some wicked looking offspring.
