Factory RO water?

hello,
I am new to the forum, but from my research I have found that using RO water is recommend more times than not. I have a unlimited supply that I get get in the factory I work in, so my question is: Is factory RO water (reverse osmosi) OK to use? I am also unsure how often they change the filters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can always use a TDS meter to check.

mental note, there is a difference between RO, distilled, and DI water. They all get lumped together at a lot of places. You can drink distilled, and can use it interchangeably with DI. However you do not want to drink DI, since it could just have chemicals in it that makes it inert for whatever application(cleaning electronics or medical tests) you are using.

Thanks for the heads up with the DI, I looked into this and its just RO that we use. What would you prefer for a water source?
