eating herbs?

hey i was wondering if it was safe to let my veiled chameleon eat herb leaves such as kitchen bay or icetrina sage.my friend has a bearded dragon that regularly eats these so i thought id find out if fred could have them

Sage, mint and Basil are safe. Probably others as well
