dripper trainning

norbit is my 13 week old veiled cham and i was wondering what the best way is to go about getting him to drink from a dripper, i have put 2 tubes in his enclosure 1 on either side above plants and i have also tried syringe dripping water but he doesn't seam to be interested in either. i was told that he was never given water this way he was just sprayed twice a day. he is eating and it healthy looking but i feel he needs to drink more water as he had a tiny wee bit yellow through the white bit of his poo.

if its just the very tip and only a small amount. i think you should be okay. i have only seen my veiled drink a few times the whole time ive had him. maybe try misting for longer periods of time and with warm water. three times would be better too.

I think he's a bit young for a dripper yet. Wait another month or two. Most chameleons don't drink in front of you, but as long as his urates are white or white with yellow tip it's normal. If the whole Thing is yellow or orange he needs more water.

How fast is the water dripping? Sometimes changing the rate (usually to be a bit faster, but still a drip not running) helps. He might be drinking from the dripper when you are not watching (many young chameleons are shy drinkers). Also I agree that it may take to the dripper better once he's older.
