Since drying out my waterfall my Cham Yoshi still occasionally fires into it asif its full, im misting quite regular since, is this not enough? Is a drip system needed?

Yes a drip and/or misting system is needed... and most on here would recommend to actually take out the waterfall. It can house too much bacteria after the cham poops in it (which they will) and in turn ingest bad bacteria and the cham will get sick.

you can also do a getto dripper by punching a very small hole in a plastic cup (smaller hole than you would think)

I would remove the waterfall altogether and get a nice big plant in its spot. If I remember right, that waterfall is big and took up alot of room. I have a $10 dripper I got at the pet store and it works great.

he already drained it!!!

Yes, drippers are easy to make with items from around the home. You can also step up to a misting system so you don't have to worry about someone being around to mist or refill a small dripper cup.

A misting system is not needed as long as you are able to provide the 3 to 4 mistings a day. I don't have a misting system but am not able to stay out all day or go on vacation for a couple of days. Would be very handy to have one and not have to worry. :) I do enjoy the manual mistings though. :D

Write, im up for making a dripper but my only other concern now is i have no where for the water to be captured without creating a drinking pool wich would leave me back to square 1, i may have to invest in a mister tho im managing to mist on my own for at least 4times a day tho this is whilst im off work :/

If you search the threads on here there have been some neat ideas for drainage systems posted in the past.
