Drainage System?

I need some ideas for a drainage system. Im planning on building a cage. I need one that the crickets cant get out of the enclosure. Do you put holes in the bottom or what?

I have holes drilled in the bottom of mine, no crickets have even tried to get through them that I've seen

Really? I would think crickets would get through. Also, how do you keep the big plants from snapping the pvc on the bottom?

get a drill bit that will make an 1''1/4 and just drill it in the center. if using thin Plexiglas or pvc board, then this should be enough. this successfully has drained 3/3 2x2x4 cages ive done this too.

if your potted plants dont cover the hole and you are worried about loose feeders or chams *my multi escaped once * then just hot glue aluminum window screen on the bottom of the cage.

i wouldnt worry about the feeders escaping. i have buckets underneath the holes anyways to catch the water. crickets and other feeders would just fall in the bucket.
