Does Rieppeleon brevicaudatus need UVB?

I'm getting mixed answers on this and currently don't have UVB on my pyg's. Should I add uvb and am planning on breeding? If yes how can I add it with heating up the tank.

It is not confirmed that pygmies utilize UVB. Being that they are found on the bottom level of dense forests it makes sense that they may have adapted to not need much since little sunlight reaches the forest floor. Of course some sunlight does reach that level, just not very much. So my approach with my pygs is to give them low level UVB (2.0 or used 5.0 bulb). It's nice to get a little more use from those 5.0 bulbs after they've hit the 6 month mark for the bigger species! I've seen other pyg keepers do the same. It's certainly not harmful, and we don't know but they may be getting benefit from that low level UVB. I keep low bulbs on my adults and I actually raised all my babies without any UVB at all. Of course you could add a low bulb to them too.
