Dead Leaves

I caught my chameleon eating a dead leave today. Is that normal? It was sitting in the center of the pot and he snapped it up and ate the hole thing. The plant is a schefflera. He doesn't do it a lot because they are only a few dead leaves, like 5 in the center of the pot. Could this cause any problems?

Oh no not at all , where veild chameleons come from that shefflera plant grows wild and the shefflera plant has a toxins in in that reduces or kills off parasites in the chameleons body , so dont be worrying its fine

Hungry Cham.........

Eating fresh or dead leaves is normal. He was foraging for something to eat and there it was.!

who knows what it was thinking
but I've spotted mine grabbing a dead leaf of two
when there was a cricket on it.
Perhaps, it just got a bit more than what it was shooting for.
