Don't think I ever have seen them eat from the butt forward! Looks like he screamed the whole time and got to watch! Nice macro shots! Mine usually bite them behind the neck.
Yesterday, I had one eat the head off her brother and the body was still alive (I fed this to my fischers-he didn't care that it had no head) then she? ate her other brother. Took her most of the day. Guess they were to big to share a 18x18x30 cage with plenty of crickets to eat instead. They were a couple molts away from being adults.
