Okay so i started with one chameleon i purchased. It was a nosy be panther male about 2.5 months old and now around 3.5 goin 4 on the 5th of march. I fell inlove with him so much that i was able to convince the girlfriend to buy me a secound one for valtine day. With success she did buy me a 4 month old blue ambanja from a site sponser on this forum that goes by CHUCK G. and let me say he is true to his word with the health and condition of his chameleons. Not only did the chameleon arrive safe but it eat rite away and hasnt stopped since. I could tell he was well fed and on a good powder diet by looking at his feces wen he first arrived. Thanks CHUCK...:D:D:D

here is pics of my nosy be and his first setup i had for him.....

So then i got bored with a buddy of mine and decided to put togther a simple stand for my panthers. i wanted to make it simple tall for their comfort easy to maintain and hide all wires and drainage holes. it cost about 45 bucks to assemble the stand the most expensive item was the paint that was coated for water. also thanks to Cham Bully aka moses for the loan of his extra cage which looks great after a good clean.

i would appreciate any feedback or ideas you guys may have....

SOON two come a mistking setup with a new female added to the collection

I am addicted like crack!!!!

Sorry for poor pic quality all takin with a phone camera cuz i am ghetto!!!

Looks great but soon you will have to put something like paper or plastic in between the cages so they cant see each other. Now would prob be the best. Chameleons just seing each other is enough to stress them out alot.

You should put a visual barrier between the cages if you do not already have one. If the chams can see each other they will be stressed. Sorry if you already do, a little difficult to see.

ya I do But cant see it

Ya guys i have a black cardboard that is taped onto the cage... they cant see eachother at alll!!!! thanks for response

I thought I saw a black "wall" there.

One thing you might want to do is hit the local fabric store (I'm sorry) and get some fabric to make that visual divider.

I question the long term ability of cardboard to stand up to the moisture. Cardboard is essentially a paper product formed by compressing wet fibers and allowing them to dry. Wetting them will let them move away from each other and ultimately, you won't have a good flat "wall". It will develop bulges and possibly other issues (like, falling apart if it gets wet enough)

My set up is very similar to yours in the sense of the two cages right up close to each other. I have a piece of "camouflage" fabric that's dark greens and reds as my visual divider. I think it looks more "rainforesty" than anything else I saw and the fabric is fine with being wet down and allowed to dry over and over..it's sort of what fabric is designed to do.

Other than that suggestion, I don't have much to offer.

Good going man. I'm utilizing the cardboard at my casa as well.

I know what you mean though...the hobby starts out small and innocent then all of a sudden you're at the grocery store shopping for veggies to feed you crickets that you feed your chams...and then you realize that maybe you need to eat some veggies yourself.:D:confused::rolleyes:

Ambanjas > Ambilobes. :D Oh, and apparently chameleons are like crack. A friend came over tonight and asked how many adult chameleons I actually have. After counting the result really surprised me because I had no idea I even had a problem.

I've heard the mistkings just spit water at chameleons, rather than misting them.

I've spent well over $250 at mistking and let me tell you that "spitting" is not worth that kind of money/repeat business. I give them nothing but praise and support.

That's really funny....I guess I'm lucky I came into chameleons late in life. I don't have time to collect very many.

Handsome little guys you have there!!

I started with 1 now I have 3 and I know it wont stop there lol ;):) I know what you mean they are addicting :D

I have a pro mist system and its great I suggest it its a very fine mist and covers the cage nicely. Its much cheaper then mist king and it can support 15 nozzels and the more expensive pump supports even more......however I have a veiled and it doesn't require A LOT of misting but I can't keep the humidity up at all I have a live plant in the cage and have had 2 in there....any tips on the humiditiy ?? I want to get a panther soon but I def. Would like to have the humidity right for him also since your getting a misting system I suggest that you check out mrwheellocks setup if you goto my profile he's one of my friends check out his stand he made with an amazing draining system and misting system all hooked up for a blue bar.....I'm in the process of mimicing his set up

Nah. Although I've been keeping chameleons almost 20 years now the collection size has gone up and down a lot over the years. But, I've probably added 15-18 adults in the last 18 months or so. You have plenty of time to let it spiral out of control like some of us.
