can a cage be too big?

im gonna get a 3-4 month old male "Nosy Be"
and i wanna buy a 24x24x48 cage for him
is that too big?

which cage would you recommend from these two?

I don't think it is too big at all. In a few months he would probably outgrow a smaller cage anyways. The thing with the big cages for most is the cham being able to find their prey. Just cup feed then, and problem solved! I never cup fed my cham and he never had a problem finding the food at 4months. I would let the crickets go on the bottomof the cage and they would shoot up the screen right towards the light and he would just pick them off one by one. Most of the worms you can just set on the branches. i use a 36 X 30 X 18 and it has worked great.

thank you, see thats what i was thinking, but the people im buyin him off of said to start out with an 18x18x36 cage first then as he gets older to upgrade, but i guess they were just tryin to make an extra 100 bucks by makin me buy both... good lookin out carol :)

A lot of people do the grow out thing. I do for starters. If you have the money go for it, if not I would go with the bigger cage.
