bubbler in water bowl

I was at the reptile shop today, and they put a aquarium bubling device with a tube going into the water bowl for their jackson chameleons, and it works, the chameleons drink from it. It does not work with every species, i did not ask why, but she said the mellers dont respond to it. What ever the case, i found it to be an interesting idea! What yall opinion on this?

Might be easier for drainage purposes (or lack thereof) than a dripper but it would need to be cleaned often to avoid bacterial buildup. But that's just like any other species with water bowls. If it works it works!

Standing water tends to be a no no with chams. It's a bad idea for the same reasons waterfalls are frowned upon.
