Blue Tongue Skink with MBD

I recently started a job at a pet store and there is a Blue Tongue Skink with MBD that they will be adopting out. The MBD is concentrated in the lower part of his spine near his tail. His condition has not gotten any worse since he has been placed in isolation and been given treatment. He is an agresseive eater, fairly active during the day and very docile and easy to handle. I am interested in taking him in but, I was wondering how difficult (or expensive) it will be to take care of an animal that already has MBD. I have plenty of experience with taking care of a variety of animals and I am not worried about his general day to day needs (diet, lighting, habitat, etc.) just the effects of MBD and the additional care that he will need. Any advice will be much appreciated!! Thanks!!

This is one of the most informative sites I have ever seen on blue tongued skinks. The site also has an entire page devoted to the care of skinks with MBD. I can not say much on the topic of expense.. each vet varies and it really depends on the severity of his/her symptoms. It is admirable to want to take in an animal with a problem though. I wish you all the luck in the world.
