my female? bearded dragon is digging all around her cage esp in her hide. i've felt her sides, and there are no bumbs. should i put a little box of sand and eco earth in her cage???? idk.

IT may be a good idea to put something in the cage for her to lay in. It is possible she may have eggs. Also, if the eggs are not fertile, their bellies don't fill out as much and it is a little harder to "feel" for the eggs.
Has she bred before.
My females do that type of behavior just before they lay. I had 3 females lay eggs yesterday, and a couple more girls will be ready within a week.

At six months it is probably just digging for no reason. I have a few that are diggers, that go until they have almost no fingernails. I wouldn't sweat the digging it's fairly normal, some just do it more than most. After a year or so, and a brumation cycle, a female can lay an infertile clutch without a males companionship.

Too young to produce eggs.

cool, thank you. that brumation thing also explains the sleeping alot thing. she is extremely healthy, but she digs alot, and sleeps. she went from phycho activity, to less and less during the winter.

she has and XL hide off LLLreptile.com, and she loves to dig all of the "sand" out of it, and lay on the cool glass i assume.
