hey all im pretty new to the forums and as I type this I'm in the middle of take the soil out of my cage even though my Furcifer has had no problems with it so far...was wondering what basking lamp bulbs most of you run on a 4' cage?

Try different wattages and measure the temps at the basking perch.. if its too hot , then lower the wattage and if its too cold increase the wattage.

I use standard household incandescent light bulbs in a dome fixture. Usually a 40 or 60 watt bulb works well for me in my situation and climate.

It all depends on how close they can get to the bulb and just the temp in the room can affect it. Some people need more than one basking bulb cause the room is colder.
