bad smell coming from cage

there is a really bad smell coming from my chams cage, there is no poop or anything moldy in the cage and i just baught new carpet for the bottom of the cage but it still smells and its making my whole room smell bad!

any suggestions would be helpful to decrease the smell

i just have some febreeze i spray in my room for a temporary solution but a permanent solution would be really nice!

STOP FEEDING THE CHAMY BEANS!!LOL,, do you have live plants? if so what kinda potting structure or layering do you have? might be waterlogged roots or rotting roots.

I had a funny smell coming from one of my cages. After checking it out I found that it was my live plants giving a weird smell...

It could be "rot root". If to much moisture stays in your plants it will rot the roots. I add a small layer of rocks to the bottom of all my plant pots. The rocks should be big enough so they can not fall out of the holes. This will help any excess water drain out and allow the soil to dry out from the extra air flow.
