baby question about plants

I have a 6 day old Panther hatchling and Im wondering If it is ok to take it out of the little cage I have for it and let it hang out in a little umbrela tree(sherfella not sure of spelling)?
I Did it the other day and it really seemed to enjoy it alot. It drank water and climbed all over the plant for well over 2 hours. So what Im wondering is If I leave it in its small cage for most of the day so It has access to its food and then let it hang out in the tree a few hours a day for it to get some climbing in?

I am still new to babies but I have a small umbrella tree in with my baby veileds and they love it. Most of the time when I check all that are in that tank are on the tree. The hard part was finding a tree small enough to go in the tank and not let the little babies on the screen of the 10 gal aquarium, had to do some trimming. Wish I could get trees for theother babie tanks.

This one is in a 4 inch pot so is small.

Should I not let him climb on the screen. He is always hanging upside down from it. The heat lamp is well over 8 inches from the top of his mini cage though??

I think that is alright to allow the babies to hang out on plants for a few hours. We take our baby Quads outside when it is cool and put them in a screen cage with a plant for shade. They really enjoy it, as long as your Panther has shade and it is not too hot then it should be fine.
