I wouldn't go any bigger than a 12x12x18 or so. When you set up his habitat, make sure that the vines are not too close to the heating lamp and also make sure he can reach his feeders that may hide in corners and edges of the cage. With my babies, I usually use a shallow cup with an orange slice in it. The orange slice attracts the baby crickets and fruit flies all to one place which makes it very easy for the baby to find their food. My babies will stand on the edge of the shallow cup and have a gourmet feast .
