Asking Help

My Veiled Chameleon, about 5" long (tail not included) & he ate 6-8 gut loaded crickets 3/4" long) & 12-14 pieces of small size mealworms daily. is it good enough for him? He seems like eating mealworms rather than crickets !!
I am afraid that he ate too mcuh mealworms, is it OK for him??

Younger chams should be fed well... but I would try to keep him on well supplemented crickets instead of mealworms....

Do you dust with calcium and calcium D3? What do you gutload your crickets with?

Yes, I dust those cricktst with calcium D3 for every single meal. I used to feed cricket with cereal, vegetable & carrot.

Calcium WITHOUT D3 should be used at just about every feeding. Calcium with d3 only twice a month and you also need a mulit vit. such as Rep-Cal Herptivite which should be used once a month. Also I would use more veggies to gutload your feeders. Collard greens, butternut squash and kale are excellent.

Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
