Are dividers needed when two screen cages on next to one another?

Cardboard is not the best choice. Get some 1/2" insulating foam board from home depot. A 4x8 sheet is around 9 bucks. It will tolerate water much better than cardboard.

Its a good idea to prevent stress or triggering egg laying if any are females next to a male. Plastic sheeting, styrofoam, bamboo, peg board, or pretty much anything that is opaque will work.

I have a big terrarium that is split in 1/2 to house male and female separately , One panther, and one veiled both 4 months old.
I used a screen insert to separate the 2 half's but its was quite see through.
I'm going to put a few layers of black vinyl meshing on either side so they cant see each other. Its soft so it won't damage they're feet/skin and what not.
