I can't give all the details yet - I was out of town for two weeks until yesterday, and my sitter is busy today, so I haven't been able to touch base with her. She has watched my beasties several times before and is very competent.
When I got home yesterday afternoon, two of my brevs (and all the other creatures) were fine, and one female was at the front of the cage, black with white lips, eyes closed. I took her out; she was still alive but did not open her eyes. I put her in her own enclosure with a plant and a stick; checked on her again at night; she was white and I thought she was dead; she was alive, but just barely. She died overnight.
She was very thin. She had not looked overwhelmingly rotund when I left, but she had been gravid. I'm wondering whether she laid her eggs and something went awry? Humidity was fine; temps have been moderate here. I've seen no signs of parasites, but she was wild-caught, and adult when I got her (in March); her age was unknown.
Any thoughts?
