Does anyone have chameleons who do things a certain way? That way being the most difficult for you. Tika only drinks from the leaves and if i spreay her face and it has to be from a certain angle if not she turns her back to me so then i go to the other side then she turns back around and forces me to spray her face from a certain angle. if i dont do it just right she puffs up and walks away then settles for drops off of leaves and ignores the drip tube...she has such personality

Tuffy, my quad, will only drink after I have been spraying her for a while. Then since the sprayer is almost empty before she drinks, she gets mad when you stop and it takes her a while to be talked into drinking again. God help you if you spray with her not sitting on the chosen branch. Hubby did that when i was gone and she just would not drink, spoiled little brat.

Our Melleri only drink in front of us when they haven't been misted very much (i.e. while our misting system was down). Otherwise they are watered frequently enough that they can drink in privacy and I think they prefer it that way.

If I have brought home special treats (like silks, goliaths, etc), then Princess demands being fed first or she acts like a bratty nutcase for up to 2 days. If I feed Quiote or Misty first and she sees, its likes shes pissed they got fed first and refuses to come out for play time as if Im not worthy of her presence. And Misty does the same thing when it comes to drinking water as the post above. lol... anal little punks....:D

i have never seen her drink except on leaves and from the mister its self. her previous people said she drinks from the mister and they saw her drink from tube once. im not going to stop offering her the tube. im just worried about her h2o intake. desnt seem like enough for her size.

Thaxter will lap water straight from his dripper, but only if he approaches it from the right. It appears to my untutored eye to be exactly between two ropes, but he can't even think of drinking from the left one. He has similar complicated misting requirements to Tuffy:
Minute 1: "What is this horrible stuff?!?"
Minute 2-3: "You know, this just might be water!"
Minute 5: "Should I open my mouth and see?"
Minute 6: "It is water! Who knew?!"
Minute 7: "Water! Water! Water - uh, it's slowing to a trickle and you're stopping spritzing?"

hi all,

as for misting, Splat watches my white water bottle closely.
he sees me spraying on the right side of his cage first, while moving to the left side.
then he prays that I don't spray him when I move to the front.
as I move to the left side he sometimes moves back to the right side at the top...trying hard to avoid being sprayed.
if he doesn't move, he watches the bottle realy close as I try to avoid spraying him much.

the moment he sees me put the bottle down he then knows I'm done misting and he begins to drink. :p

while I do spray him from time to time, my Splatness just hates taking a shower like young human boys.
it's funny how he knows that bottle so well and when it's safe to start drinking.

on the other hand, his girlfriend Laurie loves getting wet, yet only drinks from dripping water from the branches or under the leaves.
I've never seen her lick a leaf, she always shoots her tounge at dripping water.
