Hello, I open my cage during the day to let my veiled roam the house and climb in a fake tree I have set up by a window. If I have to leave the house is it a bad idea to leave him out if im going to be gone for an hour or 2. My overall house is a small condo that's pretty safe, no places he can get hurt or get out of the house.

I wouldn't leave him out if you are not home to supervise. Just from my own experience, my little guy can get himself into a whole lot of trouble that I didn't think he could get into... like the time he squeezed into the screened fireplace when I wasn't looking... or the time he got stuck trying to go under the stove... or the time he stranded himself in a stairwell...

You get the idea :D

It makes them sad, but put him away! Think of him like a toddle - just waiting to get into trouble when their parents aren't watching.

That's kind of what I figured he did not want out of his cage since he got to my couch looked over it then went back in himself.
