Hello everyone i havent been on here in a long time but i am looking for some guidance with my beardies first clutch that "should" be fertile. she laid 22 eggs, the first one a few hours before the rest and it was definitely a slug. However i cant tell if the 21 remaining are fertile or not...
Wondering what the best month to breed them would be. I got my male last April and a month or two later i put him with my biggest female, who only laid one clutch last year and it was before they mated. I noticed he has been trying more than usual to get her attention from across the room and...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Female veiled chameleon, been in my care a little under 2 years. Her birthday is next month..
Handling - Once every few weeks or however she tries to come out of her cage and she needs to b put back in
Feeding - she has eaten crickets, dubia...
They cut this tree down at work the other day and today we put the remains of what was left in the trash. I took some nice branches that I wanted to use for my chameleons and green tree monitor. The question I have is it sanitary/safe to do so?
The female is on my hand, the male translucent is hanging on the outside of his cage. She's never displayed these colors before, what do they mean? I'd assume they mean for the male to get lost but I could be wrong lol
I fed my female Cham today and she decided she wanted to eat while she was on my hand so i let her come out and I noticed a new pattern I have never seen before. I need help in determining what the colors mean, I have 2 up close pictures of her.
I have a couple of pictures I just took of my green tree monitor Rosie's tail and i can't tell if her tail is maybe getting an infection or it's just crap/dirt so i was hoping someone would lend their opinion and if she needs a vet visit... I got her from a Reptile Show on July 10th and the end...
Today I went to clean out my roach tank and I found these tiny tiny lil babies running around! I found i'd say around 20 or so of them. I wasn't sure if i had to or not but I separated the babies from their massive parents. Was this correct? Also how long would it take for them to reach full...
This is the time of the year that these bad boys come out, and they don't stay around long. I was wondering if it was ok to feed them to my chams/bearded dragons. We get them over here in NY, I'm not sure what other states u can find cicadas in.
Straight to the point, I read that if the chameleon is eating this plant that it needs to be removed. That's correct right? What is the BEST plant that can be put in with a veiled that can also be eaten if your cham is ridiculous like mine.. I couldn't get him to touch veggies when I first got...
I know that one of the most commonly used methods to get a cham to "tolerate" your presence is to handfeed. I have had butterworms and silkworms the last two weeks that I have been using to handfeed my male veiled Cosmo. He is a juvie about a foot long already and when I first got him he was ok...
I got my hova bator from lllreptile today and just finished putting it together. The directions say to turn the adjusting screw for the desired temperature until the light goes on. I get the light to go on and after a few minutes it goes off? is this normal? I need to get this bad boy working...
It's that time of the year again! My adult female Jericho laid her first clutch of the season, only around 12 this time.. However since I have limited experience with how large the eggs should actually be I need help in figuring out if they are fertile or not... If they are how do they need to...
I only got about 25 of them so they will probably last a few days between my crew lol. But if I were to get more in the future what can they be fed/gutloaded with? Also does anyone know if they bite? Cuz if not then I can hand feed them without problems
I recently got a translucent male veiled who is 6 months old. He can handle full sized crickets, the question is how many should he get in a feeding for maximum growth? He's about a foot long already, but he's not filled out yet. I gave him I think it was 13 crickets the other day and he ate all...
I don't understand what's happening here with my biggest beardie Jericho. She was a rusty red/orange color when I bought her. Not too long after i got her her lower back shedded and she doesnt have her color really anymore. I thought nothing of it but the last few days her face is shedding and...
Like a few other members today I went to the Metro Reptile Expo today in White plains, Ny. Unlike the other members i wasn't looking for a chameleon, i was looking for a male beardie. But I came home with one anyway :D. He is six months old, semi-friendly, and looks to be about a foot long...
I got my first dubia roaches ever last week, and i immediately noticed that some are different colors. Some are dark black and the others are like.... uhh im not sure how to describe it but maybe a much lighter brownish/peach color? Does that mean they are different gender from the black ones or...
I'm wondering if hornmoths are like silkmoths n dont eat at all or i can feed this thing something. This is by far the ugliest animal i've ever seen! N i still have another coccoon too... Also i have a bunch of silkworm coccoons left over, does anyone know if they dont hatch after a certain time...
