My Aquazamp pump ran dry for a few hours. On Aquazamps website, it says,
"The pump can run dry with no damage"
But when I turn it on, it just shakes and makes a noise like its running, but doesnt spray water...does this mean it is still priming and I have to wait a while for it to have...
My jacksonii jacksonii for the first few weeks I got him ate 8 crickets a day. Now he is down to eating 3-4 crickets every other day. Is this ok? Is he just not feeling like eating as much? Or is there a problem?
How do you guys dust your montane species? As in, how much of the cricket do you cover, how many crickets you dust in one sitting? If you could tell me all your ways with each supplement, calcium, d3, multivitamin. Let me know, thanks.
I have the mister go off an hour before the lights go out. It drys out with just a few leaves still wet, and since it's the raindome some droplets drop down every now and then and have landed on a leaf that my sleeping chameleons arm is resting on. Will this cause an infection? It'll probably...
It looks a bit runny to me which means parasites right? And the pee is orange, im working on that. I have the raindome going off for 5 mins 3 times a day, and I have a dripper going for 1 hour 2 times a day. He has used the dripper before, but he runs from the raindome. Hopefully He gets used to...
I can't get this one uneaten cricket out from the cage! He is going to have to be left in overnight. He was fully gut loaded this morning when I put him in. So he might not snack on my chameleon. What do you guys think. Should I still try to get him out? I can't even find him...
I purchased a male Jacksonii Jacksonii, will this dusting schedule work for him?
Light dusting of,
Calcium without D3 every feeding
Calcium with D3 once a week
Multivitamin twice a month
All using Rep-Cal products.
Let me know, thanks.
Here is a few pictures of my finished terrarium. I plan on keeping some sort of male montane species. I might get a kinyongia tavetana, but im not sure yet. The basking spot reaches 79-80F depending on when the AC turns on. All I need left is my Aquazamp raindome, which is coming this Tuesday...
I ordered something from Aquazamp, and its been a few days. Their phone number isnt in service, and they do not answer my emails. Are they still in business?
Anyone know where to buy cricket crack from? I bought some from tiki tiki reptiles but it doesn't look like they've updated their website in a while, plus their phone number isn't in service so im worried I wont receive my order.
Should I get a mistking or a raindome? The mistking can get the entire terrarium wet, but the raindome is only limited to 4.5"x 12.5" of area. Is this ok? Or do I have to get the entire terrarium wet?
Id like to purchase a pothos plant from Home Depot or Lowes because I can get a lot more plant for the price. Is it ok to wash off all the leaves with water, like rub on them with a cloth, and then put pebbles on top of the dirt, and then place it in the terrarium? Will it still be harmful?
When I spray my chameleons cage, am I just supposed to spray the leaves and branches only? Or can I spray him too, with a fine mist? Im thinking a 2 minute spray each session.
Can someone recommend a dusting schedule to me for a kinyongia tavetana (dwarf fischers chameleon)? Their a montane species so less dusting I know has to be done. Let me know, thanks.
Can someone give me a link to a general caresheet of mountainous species? I had one from a user heres blog, but I dont have the link anymore. Im looking into getting a kinyongia tavetana. But might switch to other lower temperature requiring species. Thanks.
I would like to run my vivariums lighting for 14 hours a day, but I'm worried that if I go over the natural 12 hours of light and 12 hours of no light that it might damage the plants and the animal. Is this right? Can I leave the lights on for 14 hours with out any damage happening?
I have a 16x16x20 Zoo Med Repti Breeze. I am looking for some sort of tray I can place in the bottom so that water does not flow out the sides through the screen, but instead drain from the holes I want to drill in the middle. Does anyone know of some sort of a substrate tray that I can purchase...
