I have had her for just under a year. She loves to eat crickets and dubia roaches. She eats like a champ. She has not laid eggs yet. She just completed a shed.
I am being sent out of the country for work and I'll be gone for at least 6 months and most likely at least a year.
I am selling...
I've noticed for the last 3 days, my female panther seems uncomfortable with climbing on the cage. Up until Sunday, she would attack crickets no matter where they were. Now she stays about 4 inches from the cage and picks them off from there. When she does get on the cage, she is very...
Looking to see if there is a cham sitter out there in Monmouth county or nearby. I usually have a buddy take care of my animals when I go away but he busted his ankle and is unavailable for at least 8 weeks.
I'm looking for somebody to cham sit from 2/14 - 2/19.
Please PM me if you are able...
Named Chamelea by my kids, she still only eats crickets but is growing very nicely. She has shed 3 times in the last 2 months. She has completely ignored horn worms, wax worms, dubia's and super worms.
I think next I will try some type of fly.
As you can see, she isn't always the happiest...
She eats every cricket i put in the cage, however she has ignored meal worms, horn worms, and wax worms. The horn worm moved while in the cage but she didn't care. I put crickets and meal worms in a cup and she picked out all the crickets and left the worms.
Any ideas on how I can get her...
Long story short, I was supposed to be chameleon sitting for 6 weeks, but now it's at least 2 years. Basically I now own a chameleon. I've had her for 3 months, everything is great but I want to be prepared should she need to lay eggs. I currently do not have a paying bin in her cage, is it...
I was cleaning out the attic a couple of weekends ago and came across a tank topper for a 20 gallon high fish or reptile tank. This would make the tank plus cage be 24"W by 13"D by 35"H. Not a bad size.
Being that the top half is open air, are their any real drawbacks to keeping a cham this...
So I've been wanting a panther chameleon for many months, but I wanted to wait to the dead of winter to see just how cold my basement got and if it's ok for a chameleon to survive. I have rock iguanas and bearded dragons in my basement, but the humidity isn't as important for them and quite...
Hey, just curious if anyone has had any experiences with this. Has anyone owned a chameleon and brought a new born baby home? Do you keep the newborn far away from the cham cage?
Has anyone ever have a family member or themself get salmonella poisoning from a chameleon?
I am looking to buy a nosy be cham between 4 months and 8 months of age. I am looking to take delivery the week starting 9-14 as I'll be away next weekend.
Please let me know what you have.
Thanks,
Mike
I have yet to purchase a chameleon, but I have been doing a lot of research and reading here over the last couple of months. I have a couple of questions:
I am going to buy a 24 x 24 x 48 cage locally (aluminum.) If I purchase a baby cham, can I cut off about half of the height on this cage...
I am in the process of researching everything I need to know before I try and raise a chameleon. I was comparing mesh cages vs aluminum cages. Does this make any difference to the chameleon? Is there more likely a chance that a cham can get injured in either cage?
Mike
I plan on keeping a male panther chameleon, so I am looking for a cage of 2ft x 2ft x 4ft or possibly bigger if anybody is selling one.
Please respond here or PM me what you have for sale. I would love to buy the cage along with flourescent strip with bulb, as well as a lamp to keep heat...
Hey, I am new to the forum. I used to keep Jackson chameleons a few years ago but stopped when I got married. I now have a 4 year old so I am looking to keep a couple of chameleons that she can watch and help me with. I think it'll be fun. Other than the chameleons I will keep, I have a...
