    Lily’s 3rd Clutch

Lily is a little over a year old now and she has laid 3 clutches. The first was 56 eggs, the second was 45 eggs, and the third is 36 eggs 🥚 I know every time she should be laying less which she is, what is the normal/healthy number to lay? Her temps are correct, supplements, and feeding is proper

Lily was not pooping (here’s what I did)

My sweet Lily is turning a year old next month and I have been watching over the past few weeks that she hadn’t pooped at all and only left two huge urates. I started doing research and here’s what I found to help relieve constipation: Pears🍐 (eaten off spoon) Applesauce🍎 (eaten off spoon) Warm...

Urate after Veiled Cham laying eggs?

So this early afternoon I discovered yet another odd looking urate but this time it seems to have a jelly-like substance to it. (The screen covers the bowl that acts as a water catcher from her dripper) Lily just did lay (infertile eggs) last week (wasn’t sure if this impacts heated?) and her...

    Lily’s Second Egg Clutch

So if you have been keeping up with Lily we know she laid her first clutch of 56 which was quite a bit. She laid her second clutch two days ago and she laid 45! I’m hoping this means my feeding schedule I was recommended on here to do is working. She eats 3 days a week, dustings on her crickets.

    Lily Laid Her First Clutch

I was talking about how Lily was digging/preparing to lay the other day on another post of mine but I wanted to make a new one because she finally laid her eggs! This afternoon I noticed Lily’s shadow up in the tree again and on her beaches, I looked in and her lay bin was covered up and she...

    Urate looks like an egg?

This morning I noticed in Lily’s dripper bowl had a urate that looks like an egg? It’s squishy unless this is normal sometimes? I have never seen her urate look like this before. I noticed since I changed her lay bin yesterday she’s digging a lot more in the sand too.

Cham “eating” at lay bin mixture

Yesterday, I noticed Lily had her head in the her laying bin soil mixture moving it around a little as if she was slightly borrowing her head and then was shooting her tongue at certain spots on the surface. I wasn’t sure if this was okay, so I distracted her by taking her out of her enclosure...

    Female Veiled Carrying Eggs?

Hi Cham Fam! 😊 I’m curious if it looks like Lily is carrying. At certain angles she really looks large and is definitely wider than before she became receptive. I’ve read that laying the first clutch can be very stressful/difficult for some females too and that worries me a little bit 🥚 Lily...

    Female Veiled LOVES Handling

In all my research of veiled chams it never fails to read somewhere that they don’t like to be handled often and are more of a “just look at me” pet BUT Lily absolutely loves being handled. When she sees me she will come to the door and hang on and get my attention until I put my hand in for her...

    Calcium/Multi-Vitamin Dusting Schedule

Hi everyone! So I wanted to share what Lily’s dusting schedule looks like in hopes of helping new Chameleon owners and anyone else really. She is my 7 month old Veiled Chameleon who I’ve had since she was 2 weeks old. 5 MONTHS OLD HERE I put together a list of calcium/multi-vitamins. Keep in...
