Hi all,
I'm going to the Seychelles later this week (Paslin) and am hoping I'll get to see some reptiles in situ. I've read that C. tigris is living on the island of Praslin so I plan to visit the national park there.
Have any forum members traveled to the Seychelles? Can anyone tell me...
Are the three (I know more have been found) "Jacksonii sub-secpecies" (xantholophus, jacksonii and merumontanus) recognized as species or sub-species? I was under the impression that they were elevated to species status last year...maybe not, though.
I'm looking to start working with carpet chameleons in Canada. Firstly, is anyone currently producing these in Canada with established CB lines? If not, where/who would one be able to acquire carpet chameleons in Canada? Either WC or CB.
Thanks in advance,
Looking to focus my efforts towards Phelsuma - getting out of chameleons, sadly :(.
Looking to find someone local (Vancouver island), but will ship. He will come with a 24'' x 24'' x 48'' LLLreptile screen enclosure, UV fixture + 2 extra bulbs, heat lamp, numerous vines, and a large Ficus...
This will be the first time I've bred "egg-layers", and was wondering how long copulation time is. They've been together for about an hour, and copulating for about 40 minuets. So, my question is, how long does actual mating last in Panther chameleons?
Thanks,
I was browsing on LLLreptile and noticed they had 'R. brevicaudatus'. Though closer inspection reveiled that they, in my opinion, aren't R. brevicaudatusreveled.
They look to be R. temporalis, or R.acuminatus (wishful thinking )
Could someone confirm what species these chams are...
I'm debating weather or not I should add another roach species to my 'feeder collection'. First off, I'm still trying to find some , so If anyone on here, in Canada, has any available, send me a PM.
Does anyone use these as a staple feeder? Pros? Cons? Are they truly ''the fastest...
I was trying to find some info on C. p. parsonii populations, and I stumbled across this: http://www.press.ntu.edu.tw/ejournal/Files/taiwan/200606/1.pdf
I was amazed to see that they were able to find Brookesia perarmata in Taiwanese pet shops. I was also reading an article (which I lost...
OK. I thought I had the pronunciation of chameleon scientific names figured out; but I think otherwise now.
When pronouncing a name ending in ''i'' (ie. melleri, tempeli, werneri, williamsi), would you pronounce it ''eye'' or ''E''?
What about names ending in ''ii'' (ie. parsonii...
Is/has anyone on this forum keeping/kept Trioceros oweni? I was browsing through Benny's site, and saw a couple pics. Benny, are you keeping this species?
Adam
Does anyone here keep Phelsuma (Day geckos)? If yes, what do you have!?
I have: 2.0 P. q. quadriocellata, and am hoping to acquire 0.2 in the near future.
Thanks,
Adam
As I recall, last year(or maybe it was the year before last ) Mike @ FLchams produced several thousand Captive Hatched Ch. Dilepis (Flap Neck chameleons). Where did they all go? Did they go on to produce viable offspring? F2? F3?
Thanks,
Adam

I was reading through old post and came across this. Someone mentioned that a new subspecies of Jacksonii was discovered. It is supposedly smaller that the C.J. Merumontanus. Chris, maybe you could elaborate on this...
