Hello everyone, I just made a post recently asking about caring for a gravid chameleon, I have the enclosure set up for her to lay but she just isn’t laying her eggs. I noticed the signs that she is indeed gravid, but she just won’t lay. She’s hardly moving and I’m just not sure what to do. She...
Sorry, 3x a week 4 or 5 crickets dusted with calcium, I might give her 2 mealworms and 1 or 2 super worms a week, so crickets every time but not every time with dubias, wax worms, or super worms
Your Chameleon - veiled, female, Named chameo, about14 months, I’ve had her for a little over 8 months
Handling - I handle her very seldom, only when I feed her waxworms (very seldom but because those are her favorite) and I like having her live as naturally as a pet can live
Feeding - crickets...
It’s play sand, moistened, but tbh I’m not sure what the correct amount of moisture would feel like or look like, the bin is about 1’ x1’ x10”, that’s the best angle I could get without disturbing her, she always sleeps in the exact same spot so it’s unusual to see her in a different spot
Hello all, I’ve had my Cham for a little over a year (she’s about 1 years 2 months) and so far I haven’t seen any signs of being pregnant but I think I do now. She was very active for a day, almost as if she was looking for a place to lay eggs, but has hardly moved today and she hasnt eaten in 2...
I am so sorry, I’ve just been working and going through it the past few days, I’ve redone her enclosure and moved her to a spot away from the window and Am now feeding her much more strictly and gut load her feeders with kale, oranges, apples, carrots, her temperatures are good and I switched...
I bought her everything I need for a laybin. I was always so confused about if I should set it up now and wait(because the soil needs to be moist) or if I should wait until she shows signs of being gravid. Thank you!
Hello everyone, I’m relatively new to taking care of my chameleon and I just wanted to know how to improve her husbandry. I know my enclosure and practices aren’t perfect so I just wanted some solid advice from people that know the specifics (the rest of the internet isn’t always reliable)...
Hello everyone,
My veiled chameleon is around that age where I would expect to see her to lay eggs. I just needed some more information on how to be ready. What are the most obvious signs? Would I have time to get ready when I notice the signs or should I be ready for it at a moments notice...
Hello everyone,
For my vines I was wondering what the best way was to support them in a mesh cage. The only ones I could find had suction cups and this doesn’t work supper well. Maybe someone had a link to better vines I could buy online?
