Yesterday morning was just like any other, the usual morning routine, a few powdered superworms with the promise of roaches and a hornworm upon coming home from work, said my goodbye and told her to have a good day. Checked my webcam around noon, she wasn't in her usual heat spot, figured she...
Survived a move 6 hours down south last weekend, she was a little freaked out at first but is starting to settle in again. Finally getting around to some of the last few touches that got put off, like fixing the live plant placements, and setting up the mistking. She's insisting on checking...
The new pothos hasn't even been in a full 24 hours and we have already started on the all you can eat salad bar. You'd think at the rate she munches in the poor plants that I starve her!
We have started a new habit over the last few months, in the early afternoon she waits at the corner of the enclosure ( where the door opens) until I come by to take her to the window plants. Only get about 10-15 minutes because I don't trust her alone (terrified one of the plants will fall down...
Just wanted to preface this, I am not looking for any health help, my cham is doing fine, I am writing about something that happened almost a year ago, but I was just curious if any one else had experience with permanent discoloration from injections or blood draws, and wanted to share a little...
I don't know why but this position always puts a smile on my face. I call it the "butt hang" when my cham just chills with both blacklegs dangling in the air.
I would love to see more photos of this phenomenon if anyone else has some images of theirs doing the same.
(left pic - today)...
I was trying to take a photo, she decided the camera looked edible. I feel kind bad for her disappointment right after, but got a great shot of what a roach or worm's last moments look like.
Any thoughts on the age or sex of my new cham? I have provided a picture of it and myself for size reference :D
The enclosure could use some work too...
Hey everyone,
I was originally planning on building a custom enclosure in a few months time, but I was checking craigslist the other day when I saw someone posted a Dragon strand clear-side atrium for $150. Its in great shape and I jumped on the deal taking this bad boy home.
I took all the...
Chameleon Info:
◦ Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if I could get some advice or information regarding the general timeline for a female veiled chameleon to go from receptive to gravid to laying eggs.
My girl is estimated to be a year old, but has only been in my care for about a month and a half. Over the last...
Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if I could get some feedback regarding supplement dusting of food. I feel like the terminology 'light dusting' is very subjective and I am in a constant state of wondering if I've done too much, or done too little, or if Im okay.
^This is about the amount...
Hello all,
I was wondering if I could get some input regarding growing lights for live plants. I was wondering if I could get a bulb that would fit into an unused zoomed dual dome I currently have laying around. I did a little googling but was overwhelmed with the options, so I'd appreciate a...
Hello everyone, I've been lurking here a while, first time posting. I've had my veiled cham for about a month, everything has been going fine.
Though I've noticed she seems to have a furious hatred towards the color red. Shes pretty chill anytime I walk by the enclosure or watch her, unless I...
