When to Start a Feeder Colony

I’m raising dubia and bananas for 2 panthers and they can’t keep up with the colony growth. Unless you really enjoy raising bugs I might start with just one. You don’t have to get a huge bin - something smaller, shoebox size will work too. Dubia are quite easy to raise and it’s nice to not have...

NEW Dragon Strand Clear Side! AKA Beman's Mansion!

Looks dialed! I really like the wider format as apposed to the std 2x2x4 ratio. I'm also using a 12% Arcadia in a quad fixture. I couldn't achieve target UVB from the 6% even with it directly on the top screen.

4.5 Month Old Panther Chameleon Unboxing

Interesting. The other chameleon I purchased from them arrived awake too. It's a short trip from Kammerflage HQ to my house (~70 miles), but it's still overnight service so who knows.

4.5 Month Old Panther Chameleon Unboxing

Can’t believe it’s already been a month since the unboxing. We’ve been through 2 sheds and the mostly yellow and red pastels have turned into vivid greens and reds. He’s on a healthy diet of banana roaches, dubia, and crickets; and often eats from our hands. The kids named him “Happy”, although...

4.5 Month Old Panther Chameleon Unboxing

Thanks everyone! I wanted him to have respite in his new home before telling my two kids. Tomorrow their little eyes will see him for the first time, and they will come up with an incredible name that only a 4 year old could imagine. Also looks like we’ll be experiencing his first shed. Fun times!

    Dragon strand

The best method I've found for attaching small pots to the ledges is by using Ikea Bygel containers. The Bygel has a lip that allows it to hang from the ledge. I have the back of the Bygel resting against a small bamboo branch mounted a few inches below and parallel to the ledge. The bamboo...

    diy clearside

Just finished the front door panel and am very pleased. I’m a bit of a DIYer but have never rescreened anything in my life, so I’m sure most of you could complete this project as well. A few notes: I planned on using new spline but the .140 spline I purchased at Home Depot was too small. I...

I cracked open the roll to take a peak. They did a great job packing it so I don’t expect to see any scratches or damage when I get around to unrolling it all. Shipping charge is justified. The vinyl looks fantastic! Very clear! Hopefully I can attach it to my frames without issue.

It was delivered last night and I haven’t had a chance to unpack it yet. I’ll post pics when I do. I ordered on a whim from a random site called marinevinylfabric.com, so hopefully it’s decent quality.
