Of one of my Panther Chameleon hatching this weekend.:)
Each frame was shot every 30 seconds. This took 4 and a half hours from start to finish (or at least when it went out of frame)
A little joke I heard......
A precious little girl walks into a pet store and asks,
In the sweetest little lisp, between two missing teeth, "Excuthe me,
Mithter, do you keep widdle wabbits?"
As the shopkeeper's heart melts, he gets down on his knees so that
he's on her level and...
Here are my new Ambilobe babies, 4 have hatched so far.
Two hatched Jan 6th, the third hatched Feb 9th and the fourth I found this morning.
The first picture is the youngest (hatched last night or early this morning)
The 2nd picture is the older set which I think are male and female according...
I snapped a couple of pics while my boys were sunning.
Here's my oldest....he is 2 years old. Ambilobe
Tight grip....
This one is a couple months shy of 2...sold to me as an Ambilobe, but I think the mailman or the milkman got some too. He is still pretty to me :)
And another shot of the...
I have a female Ambilobe that makes a chirping/croaking sound, similar to some small tree frogs. Has anyone else heard their chameleon vocalize (besides hissing)?
She usually arches her head back (lke a wolf howling) and lets out one or two croaks. She does this at least once or twice a...
My new male Ambanja. 4 months old purchased from Chameleons Northwest. He had along trip from the Pacific Northwest to the Atlantic Southeast. He is healthy and outgoing.
I finally got off my rear and snapped some pictures of him.
can panthers have from one mating?
Also for those of you that purchase gravid females, do you wait until an unfertile clutch before breeding with a known male? Or do you just breed and hope the following clutch looks like the baby Daddy?:D
One of my females laid eggs 27 eggs on March 22, I got her watered and fed to her content thinking that she needed the extra nutrients from all that egg producing.
Two weeks ago I noticed that she was getting chubby again. Last week she momentarily showed gravid colors, but went back to her...
I can't neglect my other boy....he is approx a year old.
I was told he was an Ambilobe, I am still not sure. Also check out his Black Barring.
He is the most active one in the bunch....constantly moving, like a 2 year old.
This is my 15 month old Ambilobe, chillin' in the guava tree. I am assuming that guava is safe. I have seen a lot of pictures from Hawaii with Jacksons in guava trees, both wild and captive. Tell me if I am wrong.
I know the benefits of natural sunlight but how many of you have had Chameleons for 5+ years using only artificial light?
The reason I ask is that I had a panther chameleon that lived for 5 years (12 years ago) on so-so husbandry but had access to the sun year round (he live in my screen...
I took a quick shot of one of my male Ambilobes. He usually sleeps behind the Pothos where I can't get a good shot of him but the other night he was sleeping right by the door.
It is not the greatest shot, but I was in a hurry to capture his colors before he goes off and hides.
Here is one of my Panthers in his normal coloring. I was told from the breeder that it was a Ambilobe, but as he is a year old (11 month in this picture), He is looking more like an Ambanja to me (maybe there was a mix-up in the eggs or as neonates since the breeder had both).
Since my only...
Here is my Ambilobe boy, Tarragon. He is 9 months old in the first picture and now at 10 months old. He got large quick and I thought he would just remain green, but he is starting to surprise me.
My new Ambanja female. I got her last week at the Orlando Repticon from Mike at FLChams. She is chilling in her new cage and seems to be adapting well to her new surroundings. I was rearranging some bio vines in her cage and decided to take some mug shots.
BTW....she got the name since I...
