I noticed tonight my panther chameleon of about 3yrs has some puffiness around his eyes. He seems completely unbothered by it but I was wondering what it might be. I’ll probably schedule a vet appointment soon since we are due for a checkup.
He is not a fan of the iPad taking his photo.
So last night my older chameleon Charlie passed away. I'm very upset about this and I don't want to see my other chameleon, his son Bloo, go down the same path. I feel as though I have been taking equal care of both of them if not even favoring Charlie because he seemed to be falling ill so...
I have two panther chams. Both similar enclosures. One of my New Years Resolution is to give them both a good new enclosure makeover. Before I do that I want to find out why the plants in Charlie's enclosure always seem to look ill or die but in Bloo's enclosure they always thrive. They have the...
I have a box of supers. I've always stored them in this box with success. But it isn't insulated very well with the cold weather. I've noticed they have stopped moving about 95% I was wondering if they are just too cold or if they are dying on me?
Since the temperatures are dropping (i live in florida so it never gets THAT cold) but will my chams be ok? I keep them inside next to a window and they have lights and basking lamps for the day. My family hardly ever turns the heat on so I'm wondering when is too cold for them at night? what...
My chameleon, Charlie, prefers to be hand fed and he hasn't been feeling well (already took him to the vet and he's going to be ok) but he missed with his tongue a few times so I was holding his food closer to his mouth and instead of biting the worm he accidentally bit my finger!
It hurts a...
I'm trying to look for a scale to weigh my panther chameleons, one of them is over 1ft long, I don't know where to start looking. Any recommendations or advice?
I have a male panther, Charlie. I could be paranoid and everything could be fine (lets hope) but do his legs look average or MBD?
I also have another male panther (charlie's son) who give the same care and attention. They both have a very similar enclosure set up, lighting, misting...
I usually feed my chameleons the wax worms but some of the worms matured before I was able to feed them, so out of curiosity I let some of the moths loose in their enclosures. One had been being stubborn about eating his regular supers and/or crickets so I wanted to try something new. I just...
I'm having trouble keeping my crickets alive. I know of ways to keep them alive that I haven't attempted since I would rather not have 100+ crickets hopping around my house (i'm talking about removing the dead ones). I have been purchasing crickets for a long time but never in bulk like this...
I recently got my panther chameleon a new enclosure, it is the same size as his old one they are both 24"x24"x48". The only differences between his new enclosure and his old enclosure is that the old one was DIY by his pervious owner and the one I purchased is a Zoo Med brand, the vine...
