Hi guys, been a long time since I posted last. My old girl chilli has some raised discoloured scales on her nose, she's nearly 4 years old. Anything to worry about?
is it safe to put a zoo med reptisun 5.0 T5 15w linear bulb in a slightly higher watt Arcadia controller? I know you can’t put higher watt bulbs in lower watt fixtures because that’ll blow the bulb/get too hot/can cause fires. One of the only arcadia controllers I can find that’s t5 is 6/8watts...
The thermometer to measure the basking temp is literally RIGHT UNDER/touching the bulb through the mesh and it reads at 100f and her favourite basking perch is like 12” so I imagine it’d be a bit lower? So for now shall I get a 5.0 25w uvb bulb and a 100w (maybe lower so basking temp is lower)...

Heat lamp is 100w and uvb bulb is 5.0(I think) both about 9” above favourite basking spot.
Lights turn on at 9am and off at 9pm.
Heat...
Yep I know that straight away I bought calcium without vitamin d3 so that she could have that every day. The burn doesn’t seem to be sore at all when I touch it and I’m taking pictures of it regularly to see if it’s healing
I bought Chilli about 2 weeks ago off my boyfriends parents and questioned them about the grey/black patch on her side. They said it was there when they bought her (a couple of months before) and the guy in the shop said it would disappear with a few sheds. This guy also sold them calcium with...
