This is Hobbes, my (approx) 9 month old male veiled. Is it just me, or is he looking a bit...chunky? He's weighing in at 99 grams, and he seems like he's ALWAYS hungry. He'll eat anything and everything I show him...he even tries to shoot my fingernails until he realizes they're not roaches...
Has anyone upgraded to a larger system and have a MistKing starter system they are willing to sell? I'd love to buy a MistKing for our upcoming vacation so my neighbor doesn't have to stop by three times a day while we're gone! I'd also love to not spend full price if possible. Let me know!

Meet Hobbes! The newest member of our family joined us this afternoon (the photo was taken right after he moved in). He's an absolute sweetheart, and we can't wait to get to know him!
There will be a reptile expo this weekend near my house, and I'm excited to attend. I've never been to a reptile expo before, and I'm curious if the event will be a good opportunity to purchase some of the things I need to complete my vivarium and preparation, or if I should purchase my items...

I know all types of laurel are on the unsafe plants list for Chams, but does that apply to the wood of the branches? I have some long-dead branches I just snipped and am sterilizing them in the oven (no risk of cyanide, they're quite dry), but I wanted to check with the experts...
I'm planning to convert a china cabinet into a vivarium, but the back of the china cabinet is one big, lovely mirror. I know this is no bueno for a happy chameleon. Thoughts on how to cover the mirror? Artificial hedge mat? Vinyl window cling? Living moss? Bamboo screen?
Hi all! I'm brand new to the forum and excited to get started. I'm hoping to adopt a baby/juvenile panther chameleon in the relatively near future, so I've been spending hours and hours reading your threads on this wonderful forum so I'm well prepared to care for our new family member. I am...
