So my sister in law rescued a turtle from neglect due to a death in a family. Can someone help identify its type and basic husbandry? Or lead me to a care page. Thank you!
I’ll post my husbandry shortly, so started maybe a week ago i found my chameleon in the dirt in a pot near the bottom of the enclosure, thought to myself okay one time thing no biggy, I put him back up, he basked and looked fine for 4 days. He appears hydrated his eyes don’t look sunken, I’m at...
Have you ever spent 5 mins looking for your chameleon, (since they can be difficult to find sometimes blended in) and then look at the bottom of the enclosure praying you don't see a dead chameleon?
Yah I know morbid.
My Cham, biting off more then he could chew. No worries through he ate them just fine👍🏻 Been long time since I’ve posted an update. This will be 2.5 years I’ve had him. He’s such a pleasure to care for.
So my enclosure is pretty dense... so always had trouble getting him out, now I noticed he's trusted me more and more over past few months, no more flare ups but still hesitant to come more then 2 feet onto my hands but i tempted him out with super worms and finally was able to get him out...

I am not concerned cause I’ve been keeping my husbandry very stable and give him his vitamins n calciums, with an without D. My chameleon...
Been a very long time since I posted. Just wanted to give update. Chameleon is doing fantastic and is a lot more chill with me being by him. Doesn't flare up anymore. Also my plants grew amazingly. Almost need to start trimming them

So i live in NY its still in 40s n 50s right now. I want to start bringing my cham outside for some real sunshine. I know they sensitive to the cold so what temp do you recommend waiting till it hits outside to let him bask? Mid 60s?
So, i tend to mainly catch my chameleon drinking droplets off the screen when i hand spray. Even though theres tons of water on leaves in there. Is there a paticular reason he prefers it on the screen? Is it a visual thing?
Okay so i have a question. At night it gets very dry so i put a humidifier in the room but it only does so much... so i rigged one to pipe into the enclosure... i know chameleons are sensitive to foggers... but with the photos i posted does anyone think this is a bad amount of fog/humidity or...
