I have an Acadia bulb for her, and a 6500k bulb that came with the fixture, both bulbs 24 watts. And the basking numb is an exo Terra halogen I believe 75watts
OKAY so, I got my Cham linear bulb lighting and a separate heat lamp. My only question is should I hang them above her enclosure? Or is it fine that I have it laying on top? And if I should hang them, what do you guys use to hang them up?
Okay, one other question, I dont know if linear bulbs are also used to produce heat for chams, should i just keep the compact fixture to just have a heat bulb in that one?
Okay. So I’m going to upgrade my veiled chams lighting to those linear bulb lights but I’m having trouble looking any up with good reviews? or right sizing? I have a 24x18x36 exo terra terrarium for my cham. And all I’ve had for her up until now is those compact lights and I know those aren’t...
Hello! I have a year and a half old female veiled chameleon. I REALLY hate crickets for all the reasons we all know so I'm buying her some medium sized dubia roaches as a new staple diet (along with silk worms, phoenix worms, and super worms). But I wanted to know how many a day I should feed...
Update: she’s still eating of course but her digging at the ground and not in her bin still worried me haha
She also doesn’t look lumpy? Lol and I suppose she scratches all over her enclosure. Not just the ground. If I open the door to her enclosure to water her, she tries climbing out.
hi everyone. I have a female veiled chameleon and she’s about 6 or 7 months. She finally got her yellow coloring in a couple weeks ago now. And I have her on a controlled diet so as to avoid huge clutches of eggs when she starts laying. Now, she has started to spend a lot of time at the bottom...
No not really. She's quite still and really only starts heading down there when i bring in the cup with her crickets. I believe she's 7 moths and I know I have to start preparing for her egg laying haha.
I mean, i've only tried the water dish "method" for a couple days before I came here to ask for real help lmao. I've already put in a new dripper so she can drink more hopefully. So there's that!
And ok ok word. I'll get on giving her more surface area and getting better lighting. I do totally...
Oh Damn, i had a little dripper but got rid of it. I'll get another one immediately lol. And I've been dusting her crickets every meal with calcium with no d3, and then every other week I'll dust one serving of crickets with reptivite, and the other serving of crickets with calcium with d3. (I...
If i'm not home for some of the day i mist her twice that day for quite a bit and make sure everything's soaked including her. But if I'm home I mist her 3-4 times.
Hi guys, so I spray my cham pretty regularly and has been perfectly hydrated until recently. I noticed that her urate has started to have a bit of yellow in it but I can't figure out how to get her drink more water now? Like i mentioned, i spray her (and her enclosure pretty regularly) and I've...
Hey guys, my female veiled cham is roughly 5 months old now and I'm noticing a tiny lil gut when she's holding onto the wall of her enclosure. I mean at this point i'm thinking im just feeding her too much because she's not looking for place to lay a clutch yet. I know there are some cases of...
