First time I’ve seen this... One of my adult Panther Chameleons (Skittles) grabbed his prey by-hand before biting it.
Pictures and video below!

Has anyone else here experienced issues with sockets breaking apart while replacing bulbs in a Light Your Reptiles Tropic Blaze HO T5 Quad Fixture?
I have 2 of these fixtures; which had both been performing well to-date. However, when I tried replacing the bulbs 10 of the 16 sockets broke...

201606-1...
Hello everyone.
This is M&Ms, the newest addition to our Chameleon family. Just in case you were wondering... Yes, my kids like naming Chameleons after their favorite candies (i.e. Skittles, M&Ms, etc). :D
We consider ourselves fortunate to have stolen this little guy away from Kammerflage...
For those of you that breed GBRs, how do you harvest them when it's feeding time?
My colony is in a bin with cork rounds / flats on top of coconut fiber substrate. As soon as I lift the cork rounds / flats the roaches scatter and disappear into the substrate.
Any all feedback is...
Hmm, looks like I've exceeded my goal for this little project by a bit. Hopefully, they don't all hatch at the same time so I can feed them to my Cham (before they die off). o_O
Lots of Horn worm moths on the way! by NERVOUS posted May 6, 2016 at 12:49 PM
I pupated some Silkworms a couple weeks ago with intentions of using the moths as feeders, but this morning I found this:

Apparently, I'm going to breed Silkworms now! ;)
Earlier today I noticed 2 very small roaches hanging out in my Cham enclosure. It only took me a couple seconds to figure out what had happened... Apparently, one of the N. cinerea (aka Lobster roaches or Speckled roaches) I fed to my Cham decided to give birth inside the enclosure! :eek...
Does anyone else wish their Cham(s) didn't go to sleep so early? I feel like I only have a part-time pet since my Cham goes to sleep as soon as the sun goes down. :D
Hey Chameleonforums.com,
Hope everyone is ready to have a great weekend! (y)

Last night one of the Horn worms I pupated emerged from a chrysalis in moth form!
I wasn't trying to breed Horn worms. A few worms from the first pod I purchased grew too large for my Cham to eat. So, I decided to pupate them and use the moths as feeders. Honestly, I never expected...
I received my first pod of Silk worms a couple days ago. Unfortunately, my Cham doesn't seem to like them.
I had high hopes Silk worms would be a big hit given how nutritious they are... And how voraciously he consumes Horn worms. Best I've been able to manage to-date is 1-2...
I'm hanging out in my free range Schefflera... Just minding my own business, but in this damn iPhone won't leave me alone!

I have ~25 extra BYGEL hanging planters (from IKEA). Please see this URL for additional details - http://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/art/10271091/
I use these hanging planters with the Dragon Ledges installed in my Dragon Strand Atrium enclosure... And they fit like a glove! In fact...
@Chilipina and I took advantage of the rainy weather (here in SoCal) to do some rearranging. Skittles was beginning to outgrow some of his perches; which hadn't been updated since his arrival a few months ago... So, we did some updating.
1.) Added both horizontal and vertical framework to the...
Just curious, do any of you track the amount of food your Chameleons consume (by weight)? In case it isn't obvious already... Yes, I recently acquired gram scale and now feel compelled to weigh EVERYTHING! ;)
Coincidentally, I've also been experimenting with Lobster roaches (as feeders). My...
How long do they take to start flying once they've hatched? My first few just emerged this morning, but none of them are flying... Just lots of repetitive walking short distances followed by standing still for long periods of time.
Yesterday, while harvesting Lobster roaches from my bug farm I inadvertently let one escape. Those of you that have experience with and/or knowledge of this particular species of roach know this is NOT a good thing!
I was holding an egg crate over their bin gently shaking it in hopes of...
