    First Laying Bin

Yeah, it's a little too short then. Does it matter how big around the buckets are as long as they are deep enough?

    First Laying Bin

Hi y'all, I'm in the process of setting up a laying bin for my female veiled for the first time (she's just now old enough to potentially need one). Would the flower pot that I've attached pictures of work well or is it too small? And yes, I know there are holes in the bottom. I'll be filling...

    Hot chams = crabby chams

I feel your pain. Both of our window units are out and our landlord has yet to do anything about it. I've got an oscillating fan in my cham's room, haven't had the basking lamps on all week, and mist them every few hours to try and cool them down. I'm pretty sure they all hate life right now...

Mine tore their pads up once...they got their little noses bopped so quick.

    Pee Pads

I was planning on changing 'em out daily. I definitely wouldn't buy them to use, but I figured it might be a good way to use up the ones I've got left over.

    Pee Pads

I have a bunch of pee pads used for housebreaking puppies left from earlier this summer. They'd fit perfectly in the bottom of my 18x18x36 reptibreeze cages & would make cleaning the bottoms pretty darn easy. Anyone have any thoughts as to why using them might be a bad idea? I haven't been able...

    No AC..help!!

Their basking lights are off, and that's already helped a lot. I've exchanged the box fan that I had in there for the oscillating one from our bedroom. (Not sure what my boyfriend will think of that when he gets home haha) What do you mean by putting blocks of ice in front of the fans? (I...

    No AC..help!!

With the heat lamps off in my juvenile male's and my female's cages, their temps are now 83 and 84 degrees respectively. I left the heat lamp on in my adult male's cage & it is 89 degrees in there. (All of their thermometers are placed at the very top of their cage).

    No AC..help!!

Haha maybe so. Do you think just keeping it in the doorway will be alright? I thought about facing it out of the room so it pulls some of the hot air out of there?

    No AC..help!!

I'm posting this in the Health Clinic, because even though my chams aren't currently doing poorly, I'm fearful for their health if I don't find a resolution to my problem. The house I live in has no central air - just window units. Well..one went out earlier this summer, but it's a fairly...

    Chirping crickets at night

I'd recommend taking the crickets out of your chams cage at night. As chams are only active during the day leaving in the cage at night gives them the opportunity to bite your cham while it is sleeping - no bueno. ..I know this isn't really a solution for getting them to stop chirping, but if...

Questions! Soon to be a first time Cham. owner.

One of my veileds I got when he was 8 months old - he'd never been handled much & it took a lot of work to get him used to being handled & even more work to get him to eat from my hand.

    Crestie Color?

Not sure if its just the lighting in the picture but it looks like it might be a lavender? Also, it's got some Dalmatian spots!

    My first Crestie hatchling!

My boyfriend breeds cresties, and we keep hatchlings in plastic totes until they are at least three months old, at which point they get moved into a 10 gallon tank. We just got eggs this morning!! Hope this helps!
