    Missing nails

My 8 month old Panther is missing may claws both front and back from screen climbing. I don't see any soft tissue damage. He gets lots of free range time but when he is in his enclosure he is screen climbing mostly on the sides but sometimes upside down. I have a 18 x 18 x 36 inch reptibreeze...

    Veiled only eats Superworms

Waht to do? my 8 month old veiled will only eat Superworms. He ignores his crickets, silkworms, horned worms. At that he only seems to eat the superworms that are hand fed and won't eat anything left in a feeding cup? He seems healthy although he is very shy. Any advice is appreciated.

Panther eating dirt and ignoring crickets

I am having two problems and I am guessing they are related. I am having trouble supplementing because my cham is ignoring the crickets in hes enclosure, loose or in a cup. I have been taking him out so he can get some sunlight but he goes down to the base of the plant and moves the rocks around...

    Gigantic Silk Worms

I think my siks have outgrown my chams. Teh worms are about 3 inches long and the girth of a pencil. I am not sure if it is safe to feed these off or let them pupate. Maybe the motk will be easier to chocke down. Any experience with this from other members?

    Veiled and Panther ignoring crickets

Both of my chams are currently ignoring the crickets in their enclosures. I have set them loose in the enclosure and also have left a bunch in a cup. This leads me to another problem which is supplementing my chams since the dust does not stick very well to the superworms and silkworms. Is...

Is it always good to take a cham out for sun?

Since I dont handle my cham yet I take the entire enclosure out. I dont want to ruin the trust I have built by hand feeding by grabbing him even if it is to move him to a portable free range. Teh last time I took him out he scrambled around his habitat while I carried him out and then once...

    White as a ghost

I tried to pick up my veiled today and he turned white as a ghost with pale yellow and greeens. Is this a typical stress reaction?? I have only handled three times in as many months. He is generally very fearful of me but will accept a couple of superworms from the tongs before scrambling...

    New Cham handling

I have a 5 Month old Panther. So far he is doing well health and behavior. I have not handled him since the first day I got him and that was just to put him into the enclosure. Now I would like to take him outside for some sun but dont want to terrorize him by handling him. He accepts food from...

My Veiled Jeuvenile is comletely wild

I know the normal practice of handfeeding and such to try to get a cham used to people but my veiled is quite wild and hides every time anyone enters the room where he is kept. Any thoughts on how to get him to chillax? He is healthy and growing great on the plus side.

    Too hot?

It got pretty hot in my Cham room today. I read 94 degrees in the basking area. Should i turn off the basking light on 80-90 degree days or just put a fan in the room to move the air about? Thanks

    my veiled hates misting

I feel like he is creating a negative association with me because when I mist he runs for the hills. Do I have to hit him with the misting or can I spray the lower part of his enclosure away from him. I don't see him drink so I worry about hydration. I do have a dripper that I put ice cubes into...

    Desensitizing my Cham

I have a baby veiled that is super shy. I have had him 3 weeks and he is in an entry room, pretty quiet area except when someone enters or leaves the house. He hides whenever I enter the room. If he is basking he will make for cover when I get close. Would it be better to move him into a busier...

    Cats and Chameleons

I have two cats and want to keep a chameleon enclosure in my living room. The cats have free reign of the house so they will probably eventually see the cham moving about in the enclosure, not to mention teh bugs crawling around. I plan to elevate the enclosure on a corner table to about 5ft...
