So I bought a senegal chameleon at a local pet store (I ordered it).
One came in sick... Terrible shedding.
So I went with the healthiest hoping she stood a chance. Was very active the first week. A big explorer when I took her out of the cage. Then... She began to start closing her eyes...
I just got her and she has been acting funny. Extremely calm. And when I got home from work she was on the bottom of the cage black. It's a senegal chameleon. Temp and humidity are flawless. Is she pregnant? Here are some pictures. And it's an adult I was told.
So finally it has become sunny outside and I took my veiled out to enjoy it. ( once he gets the view he doesn't wanna go back in his cage) haha anyways he has developed blue spots in between his stripes. Is that a good sign? I mean bright and easily noticed blue spots going from his back to his...
Hello! Right now I have my veiled Cham and am about ready to buy another. I don't want one large, I would like one that will stay rather small. I was reading in and I basically decided on a segenal chameleon. Hope that is correct. I ordered one but still have not quite decided whether or not I...
So I took him out for a little roaming venture and got some good pictures. How is he looking? And one of the pictures he yawned? I don't really know what is was but please comment if you do :)
So I'm wondering if I should change my chameleons food schedule. I usually feed him about 5 crickets before work 5 during and 5 after. But idk if he should be changed to once a day or keep it almost a buffet. He's about 4-5 months old. Opinions please;)
Should my veiled look like this? I was on vacation and when I got back he was on the ground. I cleaned things up and made sure he ate and drank. Now he's up top again but his colors have me a little worried
I was at a local pet store and saw these little guys. They looked way to small to be getting sold. Are any of you getting that same vibe? However if I bought him, he would have to stay with my 3-4 month old Cham. Which btw they are both veiled chameleons. And be with each other for about 7-10...

So I really would like to just perminately free range instead of buying a large cage, my room is usually very warm, and I can have the basking light and UVB light all hanging up with easy access to heat. Question is, should I try it for one or two nights? Have my fogger on full blast and just...
What is the appropriate age to be feeding a chameleon every other day? Right now I'm feeding my veiled as much as 11-20 small mealworms a day, dusting with calcium. He's about 3-4 months old. I used to just give him crickets but he got sick of them so I'm waiting a bit. Here's a picture of when...
Well I don't know about any of you but when valcron's lights go out... He stares at me telling me to turn off all my other lights. Then he will go to his spot and sleep. Takes about 2 minutes for him to pass out haha
So I'm on eBay and I'm trying to decide what size of cage I'm going to introduce my veiled chameleon to. I have an option between 36x18x18=$55 48x24x24=$68.55
30x16x16=$49
36x24x24=$59.50
So as you can tell, money is kind of a factor. Help please:) thank you!!
I swear he has gotten used to what times I come home every day of the week and hears me coming. I always find him in the same spot peaking his head over the leaf to see who it is haha. Once he notices its me he wants to come out and free range. Haha:) still has an attitude sometimes;) hopefully...
There is a white substance on his nose? Its right ontop his nostril. I can't tell if that was from his previous shed or if it is something entirely different. Should I take a q tip and try to remove it or wait till his next shed. Thanks!
