    Just some new pics

Hey everyone, I haven't been posted in a while. I thought I'd just share a few pics of my Nosy Be, Steve. He we a little wary in this photo because I had just misted his cage. ;-) He's doing pretty good, though still small for his age (about a year and a half). Enjoy! :-)

The end of a shed - Steve, Nosy Be - 9 Mo.

Steve is doing really well. He has doubled in size from January to early March and has been getting even bigger in the last two weeks. In these pics, he still has a few pieces of shedding skin on his nose and shoulders, but they're wet from being misted. :) Overall, he's doing very well! :D

    Steve amongst the cherry blossoms

I got to take Steve outside today for a while. Sun has been rare here in Washington, so he had a blast. He was particularly fascinated with the couple of black flies that were hanging around. I was nervous because I saw a bumblebee, but it didn't come close. He got about 20 minutes and then we...

    Question about posting pictures easier

Hi everybody. :) I am always wanting to post pictures on here but have issues with it. I am using a Nikon D90 DSLR camera. I takes really "big" photos. It seems like to post, I have to fuss with them one at a time to reduce the size to the perfect amount to be able to upload them on the...

Steve fires up while hanging out on his fan palm

He has never really struck this pose before. I had a student take this picture and then leave him alone. He looked a little angry that someone walked by "his" part of the classroom! ;)

    Steve went outside!

Sorry, no pics. My students and I took Steve out for his first outdoor adventure since he's been in my care; I live in Washington State and let's just say since I got him in November, it's been neither sunny nor warm for any amount of time! ;) Anyway, he instantly turned dark (maybe absorbing...

    Steve - 7 months - Nosy Be

I had Steve out on his palm at school (teachers are doing report cards and kids get the day off - I was obviously NOT procrastinating, haha). His colors were looking really good today! I got a new full spectrum light for his plants and he seems to really like it. I don't know how to explain it...

Steve takes a bath and other pics

Steve had to take a bath (he has a parasite and it is part of the daily routine for a while). He's a good swimmer. I washed dishes while he swam around.

    First vet visit

So, Steve has been making a weird crackly noise every once in a while. Since I am a new chameleon owner and wasn't sure what it was, I took my baby boy to the vet I picked for him, a local exotic animal clinic with a certified reptile vet (lucky me for having one so close to me!). I wanted to...

    Vet Check-up

Hi everyone, I am a new chameleon owner. I have had Steve, my Nosy Be panther, for about 1.5 months now. He's about 6.5 months and he is captive bred from a wild caught sire. I am taking him to a local exotic animal clinic Friday for a check-up. I am mainly taking him in because he sometimes...

    Fogger question

Hi everyone! I am a proud new owner of a Nosy Be panther boy and have a question about foggers. My father excitedly bought me this ultrasonic fog generator: http://www.exo-terra.com/download/high_res/products/images/PT2080_Fogger.jpg I knew it wasn't necessary and explained that I...

    Steve the Chameleon

Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. I teach sixth grade in Washington State and I just got my first chameleon! His name is Steve and he is a Nosy Be. My students and I became interested in chameleons when they were given a practice state reading test that was about the chameleons...
